nationaljuvies 2015The coming two weeks are the peak of the Israel baseball league season, with league champions being decided in several games.

The first of a 3-game championship series begins this evening at 19:15 at the Baptist Village in Petah Tikvah to decide which team will claim the Premier League Champions title for 2015 – will it be the almost undefeated Jerusalem Lions or will it be the defending champions the Tel Aviv Comrades? The second game will take place on Tuesday, and if required, a deciding game on Thursday.

The Junior League championship will be decided in a game on Wednesday June 17 at the Baptist Village at 19:00. Winners of the Northern Division and last year’s runners-up, Ra’anana Raiders (A) will take on the winners of the Southern Division the Bet Shemesh Mavericks.

In a repeat of last year’s Sharon Region Juveniles championship game, the defending champions, the Lev Hasharon Nationals, pictured right after their semi-final victory against Ra'anana 2, will defend their title against Tel Aviv Comrades (1) at the Baptist Village on Friday June 19 at 14:00. The winner of this final will compete at a later date for the National Juvenile League championship.

Cadets League playoffs are still in progress, with the Jerusalem Lions playing the Rehovot Raptors in a semi-final this Friday at Gezer at 19:30. The Bet Shemesh Blue Sox are through to the second semi-final, but are awaiting the results of the continuation of a quarter-final game at 17:00 between the Bet Shemesh Mavericks and the Modiin Miracles, which ended on Friday after 8 innings in a 4-4 tie. That semi-final will be played after 17:30. The final will take place on Friday June 19 at 14:00 at Kibbutz Gezer.

Best of luck to all!
